Beach Guide: The beaches that will surprise you

Moving on to the second part of our guide, I will introduce you to the beaches in Búzios that do not have as many spotlights and visitors as the others, but are essential to visit. It is important to note that access to these beaches is more limited than the others, but there are several means available to get to them.

1. Praia das Caravelas

This is one of the most hidden beaches in Buzios. Located far from the city center, Praia das Caravelas is located in an environmentally protected area, which means it is surrounded by nature and a unique, green landscape. This is a very small beach, only 140 meters long, and most of the time it is unknown to many tourists, making it a very private and calm space for those who visit it. The name of the beach is quite intuitive, its origin is because it was a port site for Caravelas, due to its relatively deep waters.

2. Praia do Forno

Praia do Forno is one of the beaches least visited by tourists, that is, on a day when all the other well-known beaches are very crowded, this is an option that is just as popular as the most popular ones. Its crystal clear and calm waters provide a variety of leisure activities, such as stand up paddle boarding, kayaking, and diving, where you can see several types of fish near the rock formations that surround the beach. Another unique feature is its pink sand, which is very charming to visitors. And for those who are curious about the name, it is not because of the hot, pink sand, but because there was a ceramic kiln near the beach. That is why the natives named it Praia do Forno.

Seu acesso é bem facilitado, pois a via pavimentada te deixa bem próximo da praia, e ainda há opções de quiosques na praia com cadeira e guarda-sol.

3. Praia da Foca

Very close to Praia do Forno, this is a tiny beach in the city, just 50 meters long. It is a small cove that forms a kind of natural pool surrounded by rocks, with calm and transparent waters ideal for diving. It has an amazing landscape for all those who visit it, and it is also very calm because it is not the target of many tourists.

Access is almost as far as the beach, but there is a short walk to the sand. The beach does not have much infrastructure, and is more reserved for the company itself. And its name, as mentioned, comes from a seal that was seen there a few years ago, giving the beach its name.
